Salt Lake Community College is looking ESL certified teacher
Posted by admin in Employment on August 19th, 2009
Salt Lake Community College is looking ESL certified teachers who can teach our Developmental Reading (RDG 0900) courses. The majority of the students in these courses speak English as an additional language, but there may also be some native speakers of English in the classes. The main purpose of these courses is to help students develop and improve academic reading skills. We have two sections that are currently open. These sections are daily from 7:00 to 7:50 a.m. and 8:00 to 8:50 a.m. and are taught at our Taylorsville Redwood Campus. Adjunct teachers are compensated at a rate of $580.00 per credit hour (RDG 0900 courses are 5 credit hours). Classes begin on August 26th. If you are interested and available to teach one or both of these courses, please send a resume with current contact information to the SLCC Reading Coordinator, Brent Green (brent.green@slcc.edu ).
